2019 Hi-Lites

​I love to end my year by looking back at the things that I was privileged to take part in. Though I painted fewer pieces, it was an even better year than the last...thank you for that. It seemed to be a great mix of teaching (a little less) and exhibiting (a little more), with many new opportunities. Though a few things didn't work out as I had hoped, it did space for others.

• I flew to Kelowna, BC to teach at an elementary school & visit a friend...it was so much fun!
• Completed another bowl for the annual Empty Bowls fundraiser and contributed to the VIM Future Oceans and Diabetes Foundation galas.
• Finished the 'Fashion Plates' series which is currently exhibiting at Bluerock Gallery.
• My work was included in several exhibits in British Columbia & Alberta and now lives in Ireland. England, Germany and Australia among other countries.
• Locally my paintings are currently exhibited at Mukluk Magpies, ABRIO and Air-Alta, it's so nice to receive local support.
• I was able to re-visit my 'Simple Pleasures' interior paintings because of requests by Calgary Reads and Shelf Life Books...it's always a privilege to see my work in public spaces.
• My 'Nasty Women' project was included in two editions of In Her Studio magazine.
• I contributed to another Mural Mosaic project (my fourth), The Tree of Life, which was installed at St. Alphonse Academy in St. Albert, Alberta, plus I get to visit the Centennial Mural in Calgary every time I visit my daughter at Mount Royal University.
• Created new eCourses available on Etsy.
• Have another Psychology course under my belt and am about to embark on Astronomy...I love university.
• Saw Lord Huron perform live (amazing!) and went to see the Harry Potter symphony with my daughter.
• My husband & I travelled to the Dominican Republic for the first time, our first trip alone in  years and one of our daughters received a permanent teaching contract while the other moved away to university.
