This year I joined #The100DayProject for the first time since the 'Nasty Women' project. I cut watercolour pages into 2x3.5 inch pieces to fit into 2 mint tins and decided to paint 100 historical women artists. After visiting several exhibits of women's artwork in San Francisco, Vancouver, Minneapolis, Winnipeg and Calgary and learning that many of them were even more successful than the men we still learn about in college. I thought this might be a good time to feature these amazing women as I have been privileged to see their work in person. This is my experimentationwith portraiture in watercolour and my way of honouring these special women.
