Many years ago I had the privilege of working in collaboration with a group of artists from across North America to create beautiful works of art while utilizing reclaimed materials. Though I had no prior experience, I was welcomed with open arms and became addicted to this art form. I have since had the privilege of sharing this experience with so many others, from children as young as six years of age to teens and adults and I hope to continue to share it with many others.
Almost anything can be used, and books as well as other objects recycled to capture the essence of the creators of these books. From focusing on favorite quotes, to favorite colours, materials and images, as well as remembering what it is that is inherent to each one of us, these pieces become a reflection of their maker.
