 The canvases are all prepped to begin on Sunday and my list has been compiled. I heard a resounding 'YES!' from so many more than 100 women so I think this project may continue after these first 100 days, but just not at such a rapid pace. Thank you so much for your consent to be included in something that I feel is so important. The images will be posted on Instagram and Facebook daily and the portfolio on my website will be updated frequently. The selection process was very difficult so I tended to lean towards friends & family, the people I have worked closely with in my community and the arts community. No matter where I've worked, from the dining area in our first apartment to this space (which was mine, then not, then mine again), I am always happy to be in whatever place where I am surrounded by art supplies. In any case, this area has to work as my professional space as well as a guest room. It's also the room that I meet with gallery directors and other patrons plus a study for my university courses so I realize that I need a better seating area that is flexible. I am currently thinking of some type of simple sofa bed which I think would be great for many reasons. It also got me thinking to the possibility of having guest artists in for interviews as I love learning about people and their passions. Oh the possibilities!
 CONGRATULATIONS! The winner of this copy of SACRED VESSEL::An Artist's Handbook is VERA GROEN :) For those who are local and are interested in reading it, there is a copy of the book that can be signed out through the Airdrie Public Library. Otherwise copies are still available to order online through Blurb books.  Besides embarking on the imminent 100 Day Project which begins on the 21st, I am also currently creating another online eCourse that includes videos which will be released in late spring as well as preparing for an upcoming solo exhibit at Vertigo Theatre and ongoing teaching at Bert Church Theatre. I really don't know why I do this to myself :) It seems I'm not happy unless I'm really, really busy. I've spent the past week in and out of bed with a terrible head cold but it hasn't stopped me, and for that I am grateful.
