A Fine Balance

My girls & I have often spoken about how the men in our lives make a difference to us personally. We all agree that the three things that drew us to each of them is their kindness, their sense of humour and how they bring out the best in us. Kindness and laughter are the two traits that matter very much to all of us and I'm so glad that after almost 30 years of marriage those are still the characteristics that I admire most about my husband.

These days it feels like a fine balance between setting boundaries and requesting respect as women and honouring those personal relationships that are so valuable. My hope is that through projects like these women can feel empowered and continue to have those important yet difficult conversations which go such a long way towards healing and equality.
