Favourite Travel Journal Supplies

I have a few different travel journal kits, but this one has become one of my favourites because it fits into my shoulder pouch well along with my wallet, keys, lip balm & mints. It's very light, which is extremely important as I've struggled with adhesive capsulitis in my shoulders for several years.

• Handbook Journal Co. sketchbook by Speedball - either 3.5x5.5 or 5.5x5.5 inches
  
• Art Toolkit pocket palette
  
• M.Graham watercolours: azo yellow (will change that eventually to hansa yellow as it is a bit too green), napthol red (changing to dioxazine purple because it's too similar to my other red), quinacridone rose, turquoise deep (will be changing to sap green) and indanthrene blue (also changing to pthalo blue which is a bit brighter...I also like to use Prussian blue)
  
• Kaweco Sport fountain pen with a converter that I fill with d'Atramentis permanent red ink
  
• Pentel mini waterbrush
  
• Faber-Castel red pencil crayon (in a General's pencil holder) & metal sharpener
  

The supplies all fit into the cotton pouch that the palette arrived in which makes a great brush cleaner. I love using a limited palette and often just use primaries but having six options instead of three definitely opens up my options. The only challenges with the palette is that it doesn't have a lip around the mixing palette so I do sometimes spill when I make my mixes really watery and the edges of the metal pans can be a bit hard on my brush if I'm not careful. I do love the fact that these fit a half pan worth of pigment and that the pans are spread out a bit so that I can also use a larger brush if desired.
