Recently I picked up these great little wooden ornaments and couldn't wait to get some paint on them. I'm not sure, yet, how they'll end up but I really am enjoying the process of working 3-dimensionally. It reminds me of working on the utility box a few years ago, though working on a rectangle was certainly easier than working in the round....and I think working larger is simpler for me than working so small. It's been interesting looking for small tools, like the cover of my watercolour paintbrush to make tiny circles, and liner brushes for smaller lines. I find myself wandering through my house and wondering what would make a good mark-making tool. Now, to decide what goes on them. Let the wild rumpus begin!
