Airdrie Mayor's Night of the Arts

Recently I had the honour of being informed that I am a nominee for the FortisAlberta Professional Artist for the Mayor's Night of the Arts Awards to be held January 31.  And, what thrilled me even more, was hearing that my daughter was also nominated in the category of Qualico Communities Youth Artist. 

I feel so fortunate to be as heavily involved the growth of arts and culture in my community as I am privileged to be and appreciate the fact that my daughter is also as involved whenever she can be...plus she's a third year Arts/Education student so this really is a boost for her confidence.

I'm grateful that we'll be able to celebrate with my husband and other daughter as we attend the VIP event complete with champagne and terrific performances.  It's going to be a fun night.

Though, because of the nomination, I had to step down from the committee...I think I'm okay with that.
