As Easter Sunday has come to a close I can't help but focus on my blessings at this time. This #100daysnastywomen project has certainly been eye-opening for me not only as an artist but also personally as a woman. The support I have received for this body of work from so many women and men has been absolutely astounding. I also can't help but think daily about what empowerment means to me as a woman.
Speaking with my daughters I learn so much, including the fact that boundaries and respect mean different things to different people, and that's really okay. My girls are very sure of what their needs are and I often wish I would have been that confident at their age...I wish I was that strong now. They don't live with regret for their expectations and understand that it might mean upheaval in their lives on occasion, but they're okay with that because it means that they end up with the people in their life that support and value them. At this juncture in my life I am so very grateful to be surrounded and uplifted by that kind of support. Thank you all so very much. ❤
