I have always collected feathers, and was gifted a hawk feather a few years ago which is my pride and joy. I've also had these longer canvases sitting in my studio and though I painted patterns onto them I was uncertain as to what I would paint until suddenly, as I was sitting in my studio and looking at the feathers I painted on the walls.
I find that 'aha!' moment to be absolutely invigorating. And once it happens I can barely sleep for wanting to get to work. But I know I need the rest and the time for the idea to percolate. Adding hanging hardware will be a challenge as I like the notion of hanging the pieces vertically or horizontally, and with the feather facing any direction as they would be a lovely grouping. Hmmmm....something else to ponder.

It always amazes me when ideas for creativity seem to come from out of nowhere...something I love about creativity - how doing something creative begets another creative idea.

I was thinking the same Seth...I like how they look hanging in any direction. And thank you for your kind words!

Thanks Martice! I really like the idea of sawtooth hangers.
