Getting closer...

I'm getting so much closer on this commission and am very excited about the progress.  I know I've mentioned it several times before, but creating something so personal for someone can be difficult and pleasant all at the same time.  As an artist, a commission like this is such an honour but my goal isn't just to complete the piece, but to complete it in a way that really connects with the person it's intended for...and that often means questioning myself constantly along the way.  Not that I don't do that whenever I paint, but even more when it's intended for someone in particular.  Anyway, hope to be completed this week!
