"Hope" is the thing with feathers--That perches in the soul--And sings the tune without the words--And never stops—at all--And sweetest—in the Gale—is heard--And sore must be the storm--That could abash the little BirdThat kept so many warm--I've heard it in the chillest land--And on the strangest Sea--Yet, never, in Extremity,It asked a crumb—of Me. ~ Emily Dickinson
I really do love your feather series! Great images and those colors!!!
They'll be delivered to a gallery in a couple of weeks...the painting is always so fun and now the drudgery of wiring and documenting ;)
oh, I'm so happy I can comment here again! for a mysterious reason I was unable to leave a comment on your blog, but it seems blogger unblcked me :)
I love feathers, and yours are really perfect! but my first impression (when I saw this post a few days ago) was: I should read more poetry!
I'm so glad you're able to comment again...and glad you enjoyed the poetry. I always keep a few small poetry booklets in my studio for peace and inspiration.
