Thank you for sharing the heart-warming stories and beautiful photographs of your grandmothers this year. I don't know what the year would have been for me if not for this project. As always, I have learned a few things:
There is much to be said for simplicity...this year has definitely been a testament to that.
I've learned so much about these women and the people who shared them with me and see something of your grandmothers in each of you.
People are so resilient, it doesn't cease to amaze me.
I have been reminded of the necessity to look for joy in the smallest things.
There is great importance in asking for help when you need it, the ability to be vulnerable...sometimes just a kind word or a walk with a friend can make a huge difference.
Daily gratitude for the little things is so important.
This year has been the year of looking around me, to make do and mend or to go without - it's been a good lesson.
Thank you so much for trusting me with these amazing women. I hope you all have a wonderful new year.
