Whenever it gets to the point of details on paintings I sometimes get a little nervous. After so much work and beautiful patterns I hate to lose it through a misplaced mark, pattern or colour. Though I know better, that pushing each layer a little further actually enhances a final piece, it still sits heavily in my mind...especially when I work on a commission. And then sharing the work-in-progess with a patron adds another 'layer' of nervousness, though I have been blessed with the most amazing patrons in my career. So, here's to a piece in the final stages of work and, fingers crossed that it turns out as I had envisioned.
